  • Search Functionality (via Chrome Search API - search permission):

    What: Processes the search query You enter in the Extension's search bar.

    How it's used: Uses Your browser's configured default search engine (via chrome.search.query()) to perform the search.

    Sharing: We do not collect or store Your search queries entered into the Extension. Your search activity is subject to the privacy policy of Your default search engine provider.

  • Interaction with DesktopHut.com Website (via host_permissions and externally_connectable):

    What & How it's used: Enables the "Set as New Tab Wallpaper" button on Our Website to communicate with the Extension (passing wallpaper URL and title) to apply a chosen wallpaper. It also allows Our Website to check if the Extension is installed for this feature.

    Sharing: Only the necessary wallpaper URL and title are passed. No other personal data is exchanged or stored by Us from this specific Extension-Website interaction.

  • Favicon Display by the Extension (Third-Party Services):

    What & How it's used: To display icons (favicons) for Your bookmarks, the Extension sends the domain name of Your bookmarked sites to public favicon services (e.g., DuckDuckGo, Google) to retrieve the icon.

    Sharing: Only domain names are sent. This is subject to the privacy policies of those third-party favicon services.
